Herakles is sired by the 2001 MaPaca Color Champion, and is out of our own "Maggie" who has won her share of fleece awards, and he is awesome, as his pedigree says he should be. His dam is by none other than the multiple blue ribbon & Get of Sire winner, Brittany's Desparado (True Black, owned by Maple Brook Alpacas) and her bay black dam is by Peruvian Macusani (Alianza gray). This boy will be throwing cria in colors with potential for black and gray! Every visitor to the farm remarks about his presence and fleece, and it just keeps getting better every day. This young male has great conformation, extremely dense fleece, he sheared nearly 11 pounds this year, coverage like you wouldn't believe, and crimp, crimp, crimp! Oh yeah, he is PCR negative for BVD as of 1/5/06 as well.
Herakles' first cria is a stunning dark brown female with black points who just took a first place in shorn juvenile females at her first show! He is settling his females in one breeding!
