Behind every great man is a great woman, and sometimes 2 or 3! Sire lines are important, sure, and Da Vinci's got 'em, but dam lines are equally so, and he's got them too! Da Vinci's sire is none other than Accoyo El Nino, whose accolades include Champion and Reserve Herd Sire of the Year, 3 time Get of Sire, and color championships. Da Vinci's dam, Pacific Crest Peruvian Mulberry, is a dark brown 3 time color champion and dam of color champions. But that's not all, Accoyo's Caligula and Camilio (fawn) are his grandsires, and his granddams have also stood in the winner's circle and produced many champions themselves (3P Sunipani, 5P Destiny (black). The test of prepotency of genetics has been won! Here's a male who has distinct elite bundling fleece with density, brightness and handle, AND he's producing color to boot! (See pics below & left) Sure, there're lots of El Nino sons on the ground, but not too many in the East, and none with a dark brown multiple color champion dam who consistently produces champions year after year at Pacific Crest Accoyo America.
We are thrilled to be co-owners of Da Vinci with Hidden Hill Farm Alpacas. Every female purchased from us is eligible for a free breeding to this spectacular, rare male! He has returned to our farm and is standing stud now. He has sired over 20 crias and they come in colors as well - brown, fawn, beige & white! His crias have garnered championship, reserve champion, Spin Off Judge's Choice, Best Hand and other accolades. Our shearer STOPPED SHEARING to ask where we got one of Da Vinci's sons, he said he's spectacular, we were delighted to report we made that male - later that year he sheared cria fleeces and again commented on a Da Vinci daughter's fleece that he had not felt a fleece that fine in a long long time, so fine you couldn't even tell you had it in your hands!
Da Vinci typically settles his females in one shot, including maidens!
ALL animals exposed to any of our herd, including outside females bred to our males MUST be negative for BVD via PCR testing!
Take major leaps forward in the quality of your herd in just one breeding with this male! Call to reserve your hembra's date now!
